LSAC Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) Programs

FREE LSAT Prep Programs for Underrepresented Students (minority, first gen, economically disadvantaged, or other hardship)

These programs are for students 1 – 2 years away from applying to law school. If accepted, all travel, housing, and meals are provided. Students who successfully complete a program receive a stipend of $1000 and an LSAC fee waiver. Application deadlines for the following summer are from January – May. Some of the programs seek students from the geographic area of the school.

Students should carefully review the application requirements and deadlines for each program.

Tulane University School of law

University of Puerto Rico School of Law (Program is conducted in Spanish)

The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law (may be limited to students who attend the University of Memphis)

AccessLex Institute – Free LSAT Prep. Applications for 2024-25 program open in March

PLSI Pre-Law Summer Institute for American Indians and Alaska Natives

PLSI is an intensive two-month program which prepares American Indian and Alaska Native individuals for the rigors of law school by essentially replicating the first semester of law school. The course load consists of three substantive law courses, including Indian Law, Torts, and one other core curriculum subject which varies from year to year.

Pre-Law Diversity Pipeline Programs

Apply for Diversity Pipeline Programs

Pre-Law Diversity Pipeline Programs are shorter programs held during Spring Break or during the summer. The programs provide information about the legal profession, law school, and the law school admissions process. Students who attend will usually receive some LSAT prep materials and advice about financial aid. Some of the programs are free and others are offered at a low cost. Some students might be able to attend a remote program.
